Job Summary
CCPS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
2026-2027 School Year Location TBA
TheCraig County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications fora special education teacher for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a current Virginia Teachers License with appropriate endorsement in the area to which assigned
- Have effective written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills
- Have knowledge of medical aspects of disabilities and their implications for instruction
- Have knowledge of resources and techniques needed to integrate special education students into the least restrictive environment
- Have experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans
- Have experience and expertise in using technology in education
- Have experience or working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction collaboration and coursework
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students teachers parents and families
- Demonstrate the ability to be dependable and punctual
Salary: Teacher salary scale with benefits
FLSA: Exempt
