Work Schedule: 4 PM 2 AM 4/10s (Sunday through Wednesday; Thursday Friday Saturday off)
Assignment Type: Leave of Absence (LOA) coverage
Assignment Extension Possibility: Possibly
Overview
The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I provides entry-level mechanical and electrical support for all systems and equipment within a dairy processing and manufacturing plant. The technician will perform repairs replacements adjustments and preventive maintenance while maintaining the structural integrity of the facility.
Major Activities Performed
- Conduct walkthroughs and assessments of all equipment both operational and shut down.
- Monitor ongoing preventive maintenance activities.
- Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Conduct troubleshooting on malfunctioning or out-of-service equipment.
- Assist plant operators with troubleshooting equipment and repairs as needed.
- Maintain plant systems and subsystems to support continuous operations.
- Be available for assigned shifts to meet staffing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment (preference for food manufacturing).
- Understanding of engineering principles as related to plant operations.
- Knowledge of:
- Homogenizers
- Blow molds
- Electrical distribution (480V/60Hz/3 Phase)
- Welding (a plus)
- Proficient in the use of tools and techniques with limited supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals plant drawings and schematics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- General knowledge of plant equipment including:
- Boiler operations
- Fluid heat exchangers
- Refrigeration/cooling systems
- Fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
- Air compressors
- Electrical/electronic controls
- Welding operations
- Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and safety requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.

- Alchemy Safety Training (Winter)
