Job Summary
Introduction
Our client seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experiencedProduction Supervisortosupervise and coordinate production activities/functions which includeanalyzing scheduling needsmanaging the production schedulemaximizing productivityandensuring efficiency high quality safety and cost effectiveness. Fosters anenvironment of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising daily activities for a team including resource planning training coaching and performance management
- Production planning
- Achieving department efficiency goals and standards tracking downtime and developing /implementing corrective plans accordingly
- Troubleshoots production problems and ensures machinery equipment and facilities are functioning and operating properly for efficient production
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling initiating sorting and analyzing production performance records and data.
- Responsible for ensuring health and safety monitoring security and ensuring good housekeeping on the floor
Must have aBDegree or National Diploma in Production or Operations Managementwith at least 2 yearsdirect experience as a Production Supervisorinamanufacturing /consumer goods production or assembly environment. Solid staff management skills leading teams and meeting deadlines. Proficiency in using the MS Office with solid MS Excel skills and the ability to develop and comprehend spreadsheets of varying complexity relating to production data.
