Job Summary
Job Description:
This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the preparation and daily operations of Berklees Aspire: Five-Week Music Performance Intensive through managing the Aspire: Five-Week Satellite Office. Working under the general direction of the Five-Week Program Directors the Senior Office Assistant oversees the general operation of the office interfaces directly with students and families assesses student needs and troubleshoots concerns as they arise. This role serves as a key resource for students staff and faculty while supporting the preparation organization and distribution of essential program materials to ensure a smooth and successful summer experience.Pay Rate: $25/hr at 35 hours per week
Schedule: 9a5p Monday through Friday with a paid one-hour lunch break
Must be available for key program dates including Sunday July 5th Monday July 6th and Tuesday July 7th
Requirements and Qualifications:
Proficiency with both Mac and PC platforms
Experience with music notation software (e.g. Finale)
Strong customer service background and excellent communication skills
Solid clerical and administrative skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with CD duplication and basic audio editing technology (preferred)
Competency as a rhythm section instrumentalist (helpful)
Responsibilities:
Respond to questions from program participants parents Five-Week faculty and related staff via email phone and in person
Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Five-Week Satellite Office
Prepare copy and organize written music for Aspire faculty
Prepare and duplicate CDs for program use
Provide instrumental support in program-related ensemble classes as needed (if applicable)
