Job Summary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mastersdegree required
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate
  • Valid Texas Principal Certification or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of effective research: change process systems thinking organizational culture and adult learners
  • Ability to plan implement deliver and sustain professional development for school and district personnel
  • Advanced knowledge of curriculum practices instruction assessment school improvement and organizational culture
  • Any acceptable variations of the above as approved

CENTER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process all personal timekeeping travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional attire and grooming appropriate for specific job position
  • Demonstrate punctual and regular attendance on the job
  • Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities
  • Supports the mission goals and objectives of the ESC
  • Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC
  • Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies processes and procedures
  • Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor
  • Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor
  • Exhibit professionalism in all situations at the ESC
  • Develop collaborative and positive relationships with schools and co-workers
  • Exhibit planning and leadership on assigned tasks and projects

DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to handle and see to completion multiple projects simultaneously and on deadline

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in TEA orientation and all Texas Mentorship Trainings (TMT) and any other training required by TEA
  • Redeliver TMT through a Trainer of Trainers (ToT) model
  • Build relationships with LEAs & EPPs and recruit them to the right TMT pathway
  • Provide TMT coaching and implementation to LEAs
  • Grow teacher mentorship practices and systems in LEAs
  • Serve as a Field Supervisor for teachers participating in Region 13s Educator Certification Program (ECP)
  • Conduct required observations of teacher candidates and provide timely feedback aligned to certification and program standards.
  • Coach and support candidates in strengthening instructional practice classroom management and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with campus mentor teachers and administrators to support candidate success.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of observations and candidate progress in accordance with ECP and state requirements.
  • Support ESC Talent Initiatives
  • Collaborate with other Talent Initiatives to ensure alignment with EDF
  • Ensure grant compliance for the Texas Mentorship Training grant
  • Work collaboratively with ESC staff to provide consistent instructional and leadership supports
  • Provide on-site visits to LEAs as needed
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor

SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS

Additional projects as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Up to 226 working days
This is an at-will employment position.
In the event of an economic slump a reduction-in-force may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing.
