Job Summary

Position Summary:	As our new Assistant Director of Esports you wont just be watching the clock; youll be building a community. Youll be the face of our Arena and casting spaces the mentor our players look up to and the strategic voice that helps our program grow. Whether youre analyzing a match or sitting down with a prospective family to explain why UD is the right fit your goal is simple: Make UD a premier destination for student-gamers. If youre a gamer at heart but a strategist in practice and youre ready to lead a program thats as much about Community as it is about Competition we want to meet you. The Assistant Director for Esports and Campus Activities provides operational management and coordination for the universitys Esports program and departmental marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Associate Director of Campus Activities this role serves as the primary coach for competitive gaming manages the esports arenas technical needs and coordinates the daily workflow of the student marketing assistant. The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting with recruitment of student gamers the hands-on execution of esports tournaments and supports on-site coordination for designated campus events.
Minimum Qualifications:	Bachelors degree. Experience with competitive esports. Experience with PC gaming hardware Discord server management and streaming software (OBS). Mastery of written and verbal communications. Willingness to work non-traditional hours including regular evenings and weekends for tournaments and event supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:	While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications the ideal candidate will bring many of the following: Experience coaching a competitive esports team. Direct experience in competitive esports operations live event production (broadcasting) or streaming (e.g. Twitch OBS vMix) Existing relationships with collegiate esports leagues or industry partners Experience with marketing branding and promotion of events. Demonstrated successful collaboration with campus partners. Experience with recruitment of collegiate esports players. Mastery of oral communications.
