Performs frequent face-to-name countsEnsures that the individual needs of the children are children with toileting hand washing tying their shoes etcPromotes self-regulation and self-help skillsAssists with behavior management as directed by the TeacherCovers Planning hours for Teaching staffActs in the capacity of a substitute teacher in the teachers and Licensing ComplianceFollows all DCY and ODE licensing rules school policies and safety proceduresMaintains a safe clean and organized classroom environment. Completes daily and weekly cleaning/sanitizing checklistsCompletes and maintains all state-required training Professional DevelopmentAttends professional development opportunities throughout the year for continuous improvement. Meets or exceeds Step up to Quality required and Ohio Approved Professional Development hoursMaintains OCCRRA account in good standingObserves and collaborates with other teachers in the building 3x per year for mutual growth and development in accordance to peer observation program Additional ItemsBuilds a relationship with students and parents so that they know you want only the best for the studentMaintains a strong collaborative relationship with teachers instructional support staff all required items to administration/office in a timely mannerReturns all communication to parents within 24 hours of receiving itBe supportive of the PPA team at all times but especially when speaking to parents and studentsCommunicates with supervisor in regards to staff not following policies of PPACompletes anything assigned by your supervisorSecondary responsibilities: DutiesArrive to all scheduled duties on timeSubstitute coverage for grade level or as assignedSupervise lunch recess and other duties as assignedFollow assigned school duty guidelines in the PPA handbookMeetingsBiweekly on the first day of the week at 7:30am with all instructional staffBiweekly on scheduled day with the Pre-K DirectorWeekly on Wednesday at 7:15am with the grade level team (TBT Team etc.)
