A Dispatch Supervisormanages daily logistics fleet or emergency response operations by coordinating personnel optimizing routes and ensuring timely service. Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:Train mentor and schedule dispatch personnel including conducting performance evaluations.
- Operational Control:Assign daily routes monitor delivery progress and adjust schedules to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Problem Resolution:Actively resolve dispatch issues such as delays vehicle breakdowns or changes in customer requests.
- Documentation & Compliance:Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities incident reports and compliance with safety/industry regulations.
- Technology Management:Utilize dispatch software (e.g. TMW Peoplenet) to track assets and manage logistics data.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience:Previous experience in dispatch logistics or transportation supervision.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in dispatching software GPS tracking tools and Microsoft Office.
- Soft Skills:Exceptional communication critical thinking and the ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge:Understanding of transportation regulations (e.g. FMCSA) or emergency service protocols
