Construction Manager
As Construction Manager you will oversee Marinus Links construction delivery activities across defined project sections ensuring works are delivered safely on schedule within budget and in line with contractual technical environmental and stakeholder requirements.
Acting as the clients on-site representative you will provide leadership and governance oversight to contractor delivery teams while supporting the Construction Director to achieve key project milestones. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring construction performance aligns with the projects strategic objectives and assurance frameworks.

- Leadership & Strategy Lead and oversee construction delivery across multiple work fronts ensuring alignment with project objectives risk frameworks and governance requirements.
- Construction Delivery Oversight Monitor contractor performance across scope cost program quality and safety. Review methodologies staging and sequencing strategies and proactively manage risks and interfaces.
- Safety Leadership Champion a strong safety culture conduct site walkdowns and audits support incident investigations and ensure robust WHS systems are implemented and maintained.
- Commercial & Contract Management Support Support contract administration activities including assessment of variations claims extensions of time and payment applications. Identify and escalate commercial risks early.
- Quality & Compliance Ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved designs specifications regulatory requirements and inspection/test plans. Oversee assurance activities and support successful handover documentation.
- Monitoring & Reporting Lead weekly and monthly performance reviews monitor schedule performance manage recovery planning and provide accurate reporting to the Construction Director.
- Stakeholder & Interface Management Manage interfaces between contractors utilities designers and community stakeholders to minimise disruption and maintain alignment across packages.
- Culture & Capability Building Lead and mentor client-side engineers inspectors and site representatives fostering accountability collaboration and high performance in line with the One Marinus Culture Charter.
Youll Need
You are a decisive and strategic construction leader who thrives in complex fast-paced infrastructure environments. You bring strong commercial judgement high-level risk capability and the confidence to lead under pressure.
You will bring:
- Extensive Infrastructure Experience 10 years experience delivering major infrastructure projects with demonstrated experience in linear infrastructure (road rail utilities transmission pipelines or similar)
- Client-Side or Superintendent Experience Proven experience representing the client and overseeing contractor performance.
- Technical & Contract Expertise Strong knowledge of construction contract administration (e.g. D&C PPP Alliance or similar frameworks) and experience assessing claims and variations.
- Commercial & Risk Acumen Ability to identify and manage commercial safety and program risks escalating where required.Leadership & Influence Experience leading multidisciplinary site teams and influencing contractor delivery partners.
- Qualifications & Accreditation Tertiary qualification in Engineering Construction Management or related discipline. Chartered Engineer (or equivalent professional accreditation) highly regarded.
- Experience in brownfield environments and managing geographically dispersed work fronts will be highly valued.
