Provides professional care to patients of all ages within therapy areas. Provides lead supervision to multidisciplinary rehabilitation therapy staff to assure quality patient care. Assumes responsibilities delegated by manager. Assists with development and coordination of strategically aligned processes related to patient care. Facilitates effective open two-way communication and resolution of work site operational issues.- Fulfills staff responsibilities and accountabilities for multiple disciplines including Physical Therapy Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology. Serves as a role model for professional and clinical competence. Assists Rehabilitation Manager in assuring staff competence.
- Serves as a role model developmental coach and mentor for staff.
- Monitors performance improvement and operational excellence activities and/or collects data as directed by Rehabilitation Manager and/or Director. Participates in development of action plans.
- Organizes and oversees daily activities and development of Physical Therapy Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology work schedule and makes appropriate resource allocation decisions. Provides input to manager for all staff performance reviews.
- Actively participates in obtaining desired service line/departmental outcomes.
- Identifies and completes projects in a timely and satisfactory manner.
What We Require:
Education: Graduate of accredited program in Physical Therapy Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology required.
Experience: Two (2) years experience in related discipline required with three (3) years preferred.
Licensure/Certifications/Registration: Virginia Licensed Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology (license and CCC-SLP) required.
Life Support: BLS-certified (from a Carilion approved program) within six months of employment.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrates leadership qualities at current level of practice and good interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in basic personal computing skills such as email communication document creation and spreadsheet management.
