    Equipment Manager
    12-month hourly employee
    Days of Work: Tuesday to Friday: 9am-5:30pm
    Saturday: 7am-3:30pm
    Hours are subject to change at any time due to availability of work or emergency situations.

    Job Summary:

    1. Assists coaches in issuing collecting and maintaining athletic equipment supplies and uniforms.
    2. Assists the Division Head and coaches in checking-in marking and storing new equipment.
    3. Assists in maintaining current equipment and supply inventories for physical education and athletics.
    4. Assists in organizing the equipment storage areas.
    5. Assists the Division Head in collecting delinquent equipment.
    6. Assists the Division Head coaches and trainers on the selection and purchase of new athletic equipment and supplies.
    7. Assists in the inventory shipping and receiving of athletic uniforms and equipment sent out for cleaning and/or reconditioning.
    8. Performs necessary repairs to athletic and physical education equipment as needed.
    9. Assists the physical education teachers with equipment needs.
    10. Assists in the weekly inspection and maintenance of all athletic facilities.
    11. Performs towel and laundry services as needed.
    12. Prepares scorer/timer/announcer area for all home contests.
    13. Assists in the set up of all athletic contests.
    14. Assists with maintenance and inventory (5 hours per day).
    15. Performs custodial and maintenance work orders as required.
    16. Assists building personnel in snow removal operations.
    17. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Building and Grounds Administrator.

    Qualifications:

    1. Evidence of good organizational recordkeeping and inventory skills.
    2. Demonstrates capabilities in the use and repair of equipment.
    3. Good interpersonal relations and communication skills.
    4. Evidence of good judgment trustworthiness and emotional maturity.
    5. Interest in athletics and physical education.
    6. Must be capable of understanding instructions and physically able to perform assigned tasks.

    Working Conditions:
    Is directly responsible to the Building and Grounds Administrator

    Terms of Employment
    Twelve and benefits to be established by the agreement between the Board of Education and the District 211 Operations Maintenance Group.
