Job Title: Marketing and Communications Intern

Reports to: Director of Communications and Brand Experience
Part-Time 15-20 hours per week. Flexible hours 3-5 days/week

Compensation: $20.00/hour paid weekly

Position Summary:
Acendas award winning Brand Marketing and Engagement team is seeking an outgoing motivated and detail-oriented individual for a Marketing & Communications internship. The ideal candidate will exhibit reliability responsibility and flexibility. This position requires strong organizational and time management skills as well as an understanding of professional communication methods. As an integrated health organization Acenda values the use of evidence-based practice or EBPs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support teams to plan develop and execute marketing initiatives
- Work alongside of team members to complete projects related to branding content creation and social media marketing
- Assist with trending blog topic research
- Assist with the creation of graphic designs for internal communications
- Assist with performing competitive market analysis to identify areas of opportunity
- Support in completing tasks for the agencys signature fundraising events
- Other duties as assigned

Throughout the duration of the internship the intern will learn how to:
- Build a Résumé with branding
- Manage Internal communications
- Oversee Event logistics

- Gain hands-on special event experience
- Exhibit professional behavior reflecting agency culture
- Improve verbal communication with internal and external customers
Education Work Experience and/or Skills Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters level program at a NJ Institute of Higher Learning in Marketing Public Relations Communications or related field
- Attention to detail with solid copywriting and proofreading skills
- Experience in writing copy for social media and/or graphic design skills are a plus
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to remain in a stationary position often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Repeated motions that may include the wrists hands and/or fingers
- The employee must occasionally move about to accomplish tasks adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information
- Ability to drive a vehicle
