Employment Type: Travel Contract

Compensation
Estimated Weekly Gross Pay: $1500 $1600 (based on experience)
Schedule
Shift: Days
Schedule: 5 8-hour shifts
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Timing: 6:15 AM 3:15 PM
Days: Monday Friday
Additional Requirements:
On-call shifts may be required
Additional coverage shifts may be required based on department needs
Position Overview
The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) assists surgeons nurses and other surgical team members during operative procedures in an outpatient surgical setting. The role involves preparing the operating room maintaining sterile environments and ensuring surgical instruments and supplies are properly organized and available.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
Set up operating rooms with surgical instruments equipment and supplies.
Assist surgeons and surgical staff during procedures.
Anticipate surgical team needs and provide instruments and materials accordingly.
Ensure proper handling sterilization and organization of surgical instruments.
Follow infection control policies and sterile techniques.
Maintain accurate documentation as required by facility protocols.
Support efficient workflow within the surgical team.
Required Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience within the specialty.
Certification
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Specialty Experience
Ophthalmology surgical experience required.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons nurses and other surgical staff.
