Temporary IT Intern (Anchorage)

What You Will Do:

As a Temporary IT Intern you will play an essential role within our Information Technology department reporting to the Infrastructure Services Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Provide initial contact point for technical support training for desktop applications and computer hardware and software.
• Maintain IT service requests and incident tickets escalating and assigning to other technicians as necessary.
• Build/image computers using prescribed tools and processes

What You Will Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two or more years of technical security and/or customer support experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and Microsoft Windows 10/11 OS.
• Basic working knowledge of networking/security.
• Must possess a valid Alaska Drivers License and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the ENSTARs Driving Policy.
• Ability to pass a background past employment credit drug and driving record screening.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills both oral and written to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.
• Good working knowledge of information technology.
• Ability to learn new applications and skills.
• Excellent organizational analytical and judgement skills with the ability to confidentially process and maintain data.
• Ability to be self-motivated.
