Job Summary
A key Optimus natural gas & power trading client needs a Credit/Treasury professional to join their Houston team. Candidates must be able to be in office daily in Houston. Currently targeting credit risk/treasury candidates with 2 to 8 years of relevant trade floor experience who can be successful in a visible lean environment.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with commercial teams to manage margin & collateral portfolios including significant portfolio of LCs facing trading counterparties ISOs and transportation service providers
- Effectively manage and optimize the outstanding LC obligations and available capacity
- Prepare daily credit and liquidity exposures for gas and power businesses
- Work with new counterparties to demonstrate the financial strength of the organization and negotiate favorable credit terms
- Maintain primary and secondary limits including guarantee LC bank credit insurance ICE open credit and temporary credit-derived limits
- Coordinate credit insurance endorsement requests for specific names
- Provide financial statement analysis of third parties and make credit limit recommendations where required
- Utilize Credit Risk software i.e. RapidRatings
- Support treasury effectiveness including wire template setup; ETRM counterparty and contract Master data
- Ensure the proper and controlled movement of cash as required
- Prepare forecast data for cash and OBSIs
Experience & Qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Risk Management Economics Engineering or a related field
- 2-8 yrs of Credit Risk experience preferably with some Treasury experience within a commodity trading entity
- Solid understanding and experience with LCs
- Good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and database functionality i.e. forms templates and logic functions
- Other technical skills such as SQL Python Power BI highly preferred
- Commercial acumen
- Self-starter with a desire and ability to make process improvements when needed who thrives in a fast-paced highly visible lean trading environment
