Job Summary
Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Medical-Surgical / Telemetry
Specialty: MS/Telemetry
Shift: Nights 3x12 (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Duration: 1013 Weeks
Hours: 36 per week
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend (or as needed)
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN with a strong acute care background. The nurse must be comfortable managing a wide range of medical and telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience in a major acute care hospital required.
Patient Population
RN must be comfortable managing patients with a variety of conditions including but not limited to:
Cardiac conditions
Respiratory illnesses (including flu COVID)
Pulmonary disorders
General medical diagnoses
Patient Ratio: 56:1
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years MS/Telemetry experience
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Experience with non-titratable cardiac drips and cardiac medications
Experience managing diverse high-acuity patient populations
Team-oriented approach
Required Certifications & Licensure
Active RN License (State or Compact)
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
Telemetry Certification
NIHSS
4-hour Stroke CEU
Education
ASN Required
BSN Preferred
Required Skills
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Cardiac medication administration
Stroke patient care
Evidence-based nursing practice
Rapid response/code team participation
Documentation according to acute care standards
