Position: Bookkeeper / Accountant (Dual Role)

About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant to replace underperforming offshore staff and strengthen overall financial productivity. This is a dual-function role combining hands-on bookkeeping with accounting oversight and reporting responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have 35 years of relevant experience and demonstrate strong ownership accuracy and accountability in managing financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping Functions
Transaction categorization and accurate recording of financial data
Management of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintenance of clean and up-to-date financial records
Accounting Functions
Oversight and review of bookkeeping activities
Preparation of end-of-month financial reports
Assistance with month-end closing processes
Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and reporting standards
Identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively
Requirements
35 years experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting
Strong understanding of AR/AP processes
Experience preparing monthly financial reports
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong productivity and time management skills
Ability to work independently in an offshore environment
