Position Purpose:

As the Vice President/CFO PGBA you will be responsible for all financial and accounting operations for PGBA to include cash management invoicing cost allocations budget maintenance and financial statement preparation. This position is the officer responsible for financial reporting and internal controls relating to expenditure recoupment and other financial activities associated with the fiscal administration of the health care benefit costs for the contracts held by PGBA. Additionally this position is the officer responsible for contract administration for the contracts held by PGBA.


Description

Location:This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday workingONSITE at ourGovernment Programs Complex 17 Technology Circle Columbia SC29203location.There will not be exceptions to the requirement to work ONSITE.

Government Clearance:This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance which requires applicants to be a U.S. Citizen.

WhatYoullDo:

  • Overseesday-to-day administrative accounting and reporting functions to include financial accounting costaccountingand compliance.

  • Certifies the accuracy and completeness of administrative cost reports and invoicessubmittedto the government.

  • Financial accounting responsibilities include: preparation of monthly and annual financial statements; coordination of the annual financial statement audit; maintenance of the general ledger including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliation and proof-of-cash processing on all balance sheet accounts; recording revenue investment and interest; monitoring of cash flow and posting daily receipts; reconciliation of bank accounts; monitoring and reconciling intercompany accounts and activities; processing and recording coordination of benefits activity; and interfacing with BCBSSC corporate accounting to receive/forward invoices/payment vouchers to Cost and Budget for accounts payable and payment processing and to receive and record entries from Cost and Budget and Payroll for accounts payable fixed assets and payroll activities.

  • Responsible forpreparation ofbusiness proposals in support of business development activities.

  • Responsible forcontract administration activities to include negotiation and settlement ofequitableadjustments as the result of a change in the terms or conditions of the contracts.

  • Ensures that monitoring of internal controls includes policies and procedures for prompt resolution of findings in related audits and other reviews.

  • Responsible for the fiscal administration functions associated with the accounting for the health care benefit costsin regards todisbursements bank account reconciliations refunds and reporting.

To QualifyForThis Position Youll NeedTheFollowing:

  • Required Education:Bachelorsin ajob relatedfield with24semester hours in Accounting(Transcript willberequested)

  • Required Experience:

    • 10 years financial/accounting experience to include 5 years management experience and 3 years government or other healthcare or insurance related finance/accounting experience.

    • Extensive practical experience in financial practices in a large organization.

    • Significant management or other practical involvement infinancial managementOR equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above.

  • 10 years of management experience.

  • 5 years of experience working with large government programs.

  • Government contracting experience.
