What youll be doing

The Senior Manager BlackLine Capability Hub will assist in leading the process of the configuration management and optimization of the BlackLine platform. This role partners with Finance leadership Technology and Business stakeholders to build and maintain strong global reconciliation processes to support CIBCs financial accounting and control processes across its group of companies.

How youll succeed

  • Balance Sheet Strategy - Execute on the Global Balance Sheet control strategy to ensure the completeness and accuracy of CIBCs Balance sheet.
  • BlackLine Platform - Oversee the administration configuration and maintenance of the BlackLine platform. Evaluate and execute onboarding of reconciliation processes onto the BlackLine platform. Drive adoption of new features and best practices to maximize BlackLine platform value. Oversee the development and delivery of BlackLine tools and analytical analysis for management and operational decision-making. Lead change management initiatives for BlackLine system upgrades new module rollouts and process changes.
  • Training - Develop and deliver training programs for BlackLine system users and local administrators.
  • Process Improvements - Identify recommend and implement process improvements and automation through BlackLine workflows.
  • Stakeholder Management - Communicate effectively with Leaders and other stakeholders regarding system enhancements risks and opportunities. Serve as the primary liaison between Finance Technology and Business units for BlackLine-related initiatives.

Who you are

  • You have a degree in Accounting Finance Information Systems or related field.
  • You can demonstrate 5 years experience in financial systems administration accounting or finance addition you have 3 years experience with BlackLine or similar financial close/reconciliation platforms. Further you have strong understanding of financial close processes internal controls and compliance requirements along with proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Youre digitally savvy. You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends.
  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way.
