Excel Foods (est. 2008) is a 125 Cr instant-noodles player in North-East & East India (brands: Yummy Goalzy Keekoo). Target: 300 Cr turnover by FY 28 via second manufacturing line and national distribution. With a workforce of 400-500 employees we operate out of our headquarters in Guwahati Assam with manufacturing unit at Meghalaya. We have a strong presence across 15 Indian states and exports to 2 countries.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly strategic and performance-driven professional to lead Excel Foods into its next growth phase. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in scaling FMCG businesses deep operational expertise and experience working in or with the Northeast Indian market.
Location: Delhi IN.
Reporting: Board / Founder
The incumbent will have Intensive travel across East North-East & North India.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
Define and execute a scalable growth strategy to triple the companys revenue.
Identify and pursue market expansion opportunities across Northeast East North India and untapped regions.
Monitor industry trends and consumer behavior to inform product and market strategies.
Work closely with the Board to align on vision governance and long-term objectives.
Present monthly report to the Board Sales Marketing & Distribution
Strengthen and execute B2B and B2C sales strategies across modern trade general trade e- commerce and institutional channels.
Expand and deepen distributor and retail networks across India particularly in Northeast North and East India. Roll out DMS for top 100 distributors within 12 months
Collaborate with marketing teams to position and promote all Yummy & Keekoo brands at regional and national levels. Team Leadership & Culture
Build and nurture a strong leadership team across departments.
Create a culture of performance innovation ownership and continuous learning.
Champion employee engagement internal talent development and succession planning.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration Food Technology or related fields. (MBA preferred)
15 years of experience in FMCG or food manufacturing including 5-8 years in a senior leadership role.
Minimum 5 yrs P&L 250 Cr; preference: noodles / pasta / salty snacks / convenience foods.
Built or managed 400-distributor network in Tier-2/-3 India; comfort with Hindi and one East/North- East language
Proven experience in building robust distribution networks and managing multi-channel sales.
Experience in or familiarity with Northeast Indias market and logistics landscape is highly desirable.
Track record of team turnaround in a family-owned or promoter-driven company
