Job Summary

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale enterprise ERP upgrade initiative with a strong focus on financial this role you will collaborate closely with Finance IT teams and external vendors to manage the full upgrade lifecycle-from planning and design through go-live and stabilization.

This position is ideal for a project leader who can bridge business and technology drive delivery manage risks and ensure Finance stakeholders are well prepared throughout the transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle including initiation planning execution governance monitoring and project closure.
  • Lead planning sessions design workshops testing activities training and change management initiatives.
  • Oversee vendor coordination and ensure smooth transition from project delivery to operational support.

ERP Upgrade Delivery

  • Lead the end-to-end ERP upgrade implementation including planning execution testing cutover and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Develop and manage project plans schedules budgets dependencies and risk registers.
  • Coordinate efforts across IT teams Finance stakeholders system integrators and vendors.

Finance & Business Partnership

  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and Finance teams throughout the ERP upgrade.
  • Support Finance stakeholders with requirements validation process changes testing data migration and user readiness.
  • Ensure financial modules align with business needs compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate workshops and decision-making sessions to address process configuration and data impacts.

Governance & Delivery Management

  • Establish and maintain project governance reporting frameworks and executive communications.
  • Manage scope change requests and issue resolution to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls audit requirements and financial reporting standards.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution with business teams.

Change Risk & Quality Management

  • Identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity financial reporting and business continuity.
  • Oversee cutover planning go-live readiness and stabilization activities.
  • Ensure completion of documentation training and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 years of experience in IT Project Management.
  • Proven experience delivering ERP upgrades or ERP transformation projects.
  • Strong experience working with Finance teams and financial systems.
  • Solid understanding of financial business processes and system dependencies.
  • Experience engaging executive and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • PMP certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification (asset).
  • Public sector experience is an asset.
