About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale enterprise ERP upgrade initiative with a strong focus on financial this role you will collaborate closely with Finance IT teams and external vendors to manage the full upgrade lifecycle-from planning and design through go-live and stabilization.
This position is ideal for a project leader who can bridge business and technology drive delivery manage risks and ensure Finance stakeholders are well prepared throughout the transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle including initiation planning execution governance monitoring and project closure.
- Lead planning sessions design workshops testing activities training and change management initiatives.
- Oversee vendor coordination and ensure smooth transition from project delivery to operational support.
ERP Upgrade Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end ERP upgrade implementation including planning execution testing cutover and post-go-live stabilization.
- Develop and manage project plans schedules budgets dependencies and risk registers.
- Coordinate efforts across IT teams Finance stakeholders system integrators and vendors.
Finance & Business Partnership
- Act as the primary liaison between IT and Finance teams throughout the ERP upgrade.
- Support Finance stakeholders with requirements validation process changes testing data migration and user readiness.
- Ensure financial modules align with business needs compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate workshops and decision-making sessions to address process configuration and data impacts.
Governance & Delivery Management
- Establish and maintain project governance reporting frameworks and executive communications.
- Manage scope change requests and issue resolution to ensure successful delivery.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls audit requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution with business teams.
Change Risk & Quality Management
- Identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity financial reporting and business continuity.
- Oversee cutover planning go-live readiness and stabilization activities.
- Ensure completion of documentation training and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of experience in IT Project Management.
- Proven experience delivering ERP upgrades or ERP transformation projects.
- Strong experience working with Finance teams and financial systems.
- Solid understanding of financial business processes and system dependencies.
- Experience engaging executive and C-suite stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
- PMP certification or equivalent (preferred).
- ITIL v3 or v4 certification (asset).
- Public sector experience is an asset.
