Whats the job
Role Purpose: The Marketplace Business Development Manageris responsible fordriving the growth and operational success of merchants on the platform by guiding them through onboarding supporting their technicalsetupand enabling their commercial performance. The role focuses on building strong longterm relationships with sellersidentifyingopportunities forimprovementand ensuring their offers areoptimizedfor maximum visibility and sales. This position plays a key role in shaping merchants experience strengthening marketplace operations and contributing directly to overall business growth.
Responsibilities
Develop a network or expand your existing network of German merchants selling on B2C marketplaces to attract them to sell on Castorama Screwfix B&Q Brico Depo and Koctas
Conduct onboarding for new merchants and support them in theirinitialsteps on the marketplace platform
Assistwith account configuration systemintegrationand technical setup
Provide technical and operational support throughout the entire onboarding process
Maintain regular communication with merchants via phone and email
Build and develop longterm relationships with B2C sellers
Activelyacquirenew sellers andidentifytheir needs and growth opportunities
Analyzethe marketcompetitionand consumer trends to recommend effective actions
Support merchants in increasing sales andoptimizingtheir offer on the platform
Deliver sales and quality targets related to seller development
Collaborate with internal teams such as legal marketing andlogistics
Represent the company at industry eventsconferencesand meetings with sellers
Recommend actions and solutions that improve visibilityconversionand overall sales performance of merchants
What youll bring
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a marketplace environment specifically with German sellers
- Background in Business Development including recruiting sellers to the platform
- Handson experience managing operations onboarding and performance on major marketplace platforms (e.g. Amazon Allegro or other B2C marketplaces)
- Good communication skills in English at a minimum B2 level (spoken and written)
- Fluent written and spoken German
- Strong understanding of web and ecommerce terminology
- Experience with Mirakl Salesforce or other marketplace platforms
- Understanding of marketplace commercial models
- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel / CSV
- Experience in a support or partnerrelationship environment
- Highly organized and resultsoriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
