Director of Care - Aged Care (12Month Parental Leave Cover)
FullTime Warwick QLD
We are recruiting for an aged care provider in Warwick who is seeking an experienced and confident Director of Care to lead clinical operations and uphold high standards of care across its residential facility.
This facility is known for providing highquality personalised and communityfocused aged care. This senior leadership role suits a capable Registered Nurse with strong agedcare management experience clinical governance knowledge and a commitment to supporting residents and staff.
As the Director of Care you will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and lead a team of Clinical Nurses to ensure the highest standards of care compliance and clinical performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mentor and support clinical teams.
- Ensure safe staffing and RN careminute compliance.
- Oversee clinical governance SIRS reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct daily clinical rounds and manage highrisk assessments and escalations.
- Prepare monthly clinical reports.
- Support ANACC processes budgeting and performance outcomes.

Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience in residential aged care.
- Strong understanding of clinical governance accreditation and legislative requirements.
- Excellent communication and clinical problemsolving skills.
- A high level of professionalism accountability and reliability.
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualifications (or currently studying) in Gerontology Aged Care or a related specialty.
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Knowledge of Support at Home programs (not essential).
Additional Information
This is a 12month parental leave cover position.
A continuing clinical governance role will be available from February 2027.
Australian residential agedcare experience is essential.
Sponsorship is not available.
