Reporting the Business Servies & Assistant Village Manager your duties will include:Supporting resident wellbeing by promoting independence choice and dignity within the village community Building positive respectful relationships with residents to enhance their quality of life and sense of belongingObserving monitoring and reporting any changes in resident health wellbeing or behaviour to the Village Manager or relevant team memberProviding medication prompting in accordance with organisational policies and procedures Conducting regular pastoral and welfare checks to ensure resident comfort and safety Responding to resident enquiries and assisting with meal delivery where required Maintaining a respectful safe and supportive environment for all residents Responding to call outs and initiating emergency services where requiredUndertaking first aid where requiredAssisting with our colourful village eventsProviding assistance with miscellaneous tasks around the village as directed by managerShiftsShifts will primarily include afternoon shifts that will continue onto an overnight (sleepover) shift. Additional assistance will also be required for leave 3:00pm to 9:00pm Sleepover 9:00pm to 7:00amThursday 3:00pm to 9:00pm Sleepover 9:00pm to 7:00amFriday 3:00pm to 9:00pm Sleepover 9:00pm to 7:00amOpportunities for Saturday work will become available in the coming monthsAbout YouA professional and positive approach is required at all times to ensure that all residents needs are met as well as having the following:Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or an equivalent qualificationProven competence and experience in a similar role within Retirement living or Aged CareExcellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse communityExceptional interpersonal skillswith a bubbly approachable personality that helps build trust and rapport with residents families and team membersA current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain)Have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectivelyThe ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situationsBe highly motivated and able to take initiativeHave basic computer skillsReady to Join the FunIf youre calm under pressure love a varied customer service role and are committed to creating a secure and caring environment wed love to hear from you.
