Position Summary:
The Facilitator of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment implements the goals and promotes initiatives established by the Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and the U.S Department of Education related to curriculum instruction assessment and data informed decision making. This position will provide onsite technical assistance training guided practice and follow-up support to local education agencies (LEA) and Intermediate Unit staff in order to improve instructional practices in the classroom and increase student achievement. This position reports to the appropriate Supervisor and/or Director of School Improvement Services.
Salary FIRM $66755 (2025-2026 school year)
Work Days: 241 work days per school year
PTO: 18.5 vacation days 12 paid sick days 4.5 Personal Days (based on start date)
Benefits: Medical Dental Vision Insurance upon hire date. $75/month for individuals or families.
Life Insurance: Two times salary maximum $250000
Required Qualifications:
- PA Instructional Certificate
- Experience in adult learning and/or providing professional development
- 3 years of classroom experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience designing and delivering professional development within an asynchronous environment.
- Experience leveraging student learning data sources to drive instructional planning and inform decisions.
- Experience facilitating hands-on and student-centered instructional practices.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Design plan and conduct systemic professional development in both synchronous and asynchronous environments to keep LEA and IU5 program staff current and knowledgeable in effective practice in the areas of PA Core Standards research-based curriculum instructional strategies and student assessment.
- Provide leadership and guidance to school personnel in utilizing various student learning data tools to analyze interpret and communicate state and local assessment data supporting informed curricular and instructional decision-making.
- Provide leadership through technical assistance training and consultation to LEAs intermediate units families and local agenciesin implementing initiatives.
- Participate in targeted professional development opportunities and relevant professional learning communities.
- Support departmental data collection reporting and registration workflows ensuring accurate and systematic management across multiple platforms. Maintain a working knowledge of laws guidelines regulations and procedures relevant to specific programmatic areas in which support is being provided.
- Collaborate with IU5 colleagues LEAs and community agencies to expand the IU5s internal and external capacity in meeting the needs of the educational community.
- Participate on IU5 committees and work groups to facilitate the attainment of organizational goals.
- Assume all other duties as assigned by the Director of School Improvement Services CIA.

This job operates in a professional office environment. Incumbent must be able to sit at desk for extended periods of time. This role routinely uses standard office equipment with a vast majority of the time utilizing computers to complete daily tasks. Due to travel outside of the home office candidates are required to have a vehicle and valid drivers license to attend job related duties meetings seminars and trainings.
