Position Summary - This position does require a Gifted and Talented Endorsement on CDE license.
The Facilitator III: Lead Facilitator (Individualized Education- Gifted and Talented) position provides districtwide leadership coordination and support for programs and services designed to meet the needs of gifted talented and high-ability learners from preschool through grade 12. This role leads the development implementation and continuous improvement of Gifted & Talented (GT) programming including Gifted Magnet Programs Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) identification processes and acceleration pathways ensuring alignment with district priorities state requirements and best practices in gifted partnership with school leaders educators and the Department of Individualized Education this Facilitator strengthens instructional practices supports equitable identification of underrepresented student groups and expands access to rigorous engaging learning opportunities. The position designs and delivers professional learning builds staff capacity in gifted characteristics and instructional strategies and supports the recruitment and development of qualified GT addition this position monitors program effectiveness through data analysis evaluations and state reviews; manages assigned budgets grants assessments and reporting requirements; and collaborates with district regional and state stakeholders to advance innovative programming and improve student growth and achievement for gifted learners.
Essential Job Functions
Content & Instructional Leadership
- Lead development refinement and alignment of curriculum instruction and assessment within assigned content area
- Serve as district content expert and resource for schools and leadership
- Promote research-based culturally responsive instructional practices
Professional Learning & Capacity Building
- Design and facilitate districtwide professional learning aligned to content standards and instructional priorities
- Provide coaching and support to teachers instructional leaders and teams
- Develop teacher leaders and content specialists across schools
Curriculum Implementation & Support
- Support implementation of district-adopted instructional materials and resources
- Monitor instructional trends and fidelity of implementation across schools
- Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment across grade levels
Assessment & Data Analysis
- Support development and alignment of common assessments
- Analyze district and state data to identify trends gaps and priorities
- Guide data-driven instructional planning and improvement efforts
Collaboration & Systems Alignment
- Collaborate with school leaders and district departments (e.g. Special Education ELD GT)
- Support alignment of instructional initiatives and district priorities
- Contribute to strategic planning and improvement efforts
Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education or related field
- Valid state teaching license
- Minimum of 57 years of successful teaching experience
- Demonstrated leadership in curriculum development instructional design or content-area leadership
- Experience designing and facilitating professional learning at the school or district level
- Strong background in data analysis and instructional improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction Educational Leadership or related field
- Experience leading district-level initiatives or cross-school work
- Deep expertise in a specific content area (e.g. Humanities STEM Literacy)
- Experience supporting instructional material adoption or implementation
- Knowledge of state standards and assessment systems (e.g. Colorado Academic Standards)
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Work is primarily sedentary with periods of light activity. Essential functions may include walking or standing for brief periods; lifting and carrying materials up to 20 pounds; climbing stairs; bending; reaching; handling objects; and operating a computer and standard office equipment. The role requires effective communication and the ability to receive and process information through normal or aided vision hearing or other assisted means.
Work is performed in a district office or administrative setting with regular collaboration across departments and external partners and may include occasional evening or weekend responsibilities. Duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
