Responsibilities
Works directly with the Chief Medical Physicist as the lead member of the Treatment Planning Team. Responsible for overseeing dosimetry performed on all radiation oncology patients under the supervision and medical authority of the Radiation Oncologists. Responsible for the technical supervision coordination and quality assurance of the dosimetry division for all radiation oncology centers. Oversees the implementation and participation of policies and procedures for all dosimetrists. Coordinates coverage for all sites as well as work schedule for each dosimetrist.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
1. Certified Medical Dosimetrist with minimum of 5 years full-time experience in Radiation Oncology including IMRT treatment planning
2. Demonstrates advanced leadership skills
3. Previous work experience as a Radiation Therapist
4. Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
PREFERRED:
1. Bachelors degree in related field
2. Two years supervisory experience in said specialty
