The Prudential Regulatory Affairs team is tasked with leading strategy on all proposed prudential regulatory policy initiatives affecting relevant JPMC lines of business. The global public policy environment is evolving rapidly driven by technological change evolving and emerging risks and a desire by international and domestic policymakers to support economic growth and international competitiveness.
As an Associate on the Prudential Regulatory Affairs team you will aid in the analysis of and advocacy for key regulatory issues including reforms related to prudential requirements (capital liquidity stress testing and resolution) supervision and governance. You will coordinate closely with internal stakeholders including Business and Region-specific Regulatory Affairs Teams partners across the Treasury and Chief Investment Office the Corporate Legal team and colleagues within the broader Global Government Relations team. You will have a variety of primary responsibilities including key reporting deliverables for prudential topics as well as briefings for senior JPMC management.
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with team members from Prudential Regulatory Affairs to track and prepare written materials (e.g. summaries briefings presentations) on priority topics with a high standard of accuracy and timeliness
Track and prepare written materials including but not limited to semiannual reports summaries of regulatory developments for the Global Regulatory Affairs newsletter summaries of consultations rulemakings positions papers speeches and related documents
Prepare briefings and presentations for senior management
Support the Regulatory Affairs Global Prudential Working Group through coordination of biweekly working groups including soliciting input for agenda items from teams and partners coordinating speakers updating relevant materials and compiling /circulating meeting minutes
Develop relationships with regional Prudential teams (EMEA and APAC) to ensure seamless coordination for Prudential & Enterprise-wide advocacy across the globe
Support Regulatory Affairs team members in their engagement with trade associations including attending meetings as needed and preparing materials to support regulatory advocacy efforts
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
Proven ability to learn complex topics quickly
Familiarity and interest in public policy and financial markets
Proven ability to interact with senior management
Exceptional written verbal and communication skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized; able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Mastery of and proven ability to use Microsoft Office products (Outlook PowerPoint Word Excel).
Working knowledge of AI/LLM to allow for enhanced efficiencies
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
Some knowledge of the prudential regulatory topics such as capital and liquidity requirements
