Job Summary

OR RNMID APRIL START100 MILE RADIUS RULE12 hour nights - weekend holiday and call required7p-730aGraduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current NYS RN license or without recent previous Operating room experience must participate and pass the six month Association of Operating Room Nursing Peri-operative 101 Education completion and passing grade on the final exam is mandatory and a condition of employment as an Operating room required or obtained within 3 months of one year medical/surgical experience preferred; preceptorship charge and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RN will possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles ability to provide quality patient care and ability to assess patients needs e.g. clinical teaching mental and recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to move patients in a safe be able to function well in stressful situations and have good creative problem-solving leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and be required to assume duties as a charge interpersonal organizational and written and verbal communication skills in the use of typical clinical equipment instrumentation utilized in providing a safe and/or aseptic environment in and OR/ASU dysrhythmia interpretation call required (Response time of 30 minutes).
