Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format): Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions Architect (Contractor)
- Lead the design and implementation of secure and scalable AI and Agentic AI solutions in alignment with DES mission and public-sector standards.
- Define comprehensive AI system architectures including data ingestion Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines Large Language Model (LLM) orchestration and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural documentation offering guidance to internal teams and system integrators.
- Ensure all AI solutions comply with State of Arizona requirements for security privacy accessibility and data governance (including PII HIPAA CJIS).
- Establish reference architectures and best practices for responsible ethical and compliant AI use.
- Evaluate select and integrate AI platforms cloud services and vendor solutions coordinating with procurement and legal teams.
- Design AI architectures that support explainability auditability bias mitigation and transparency in decision-support systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps cybersecurity and data teams to operationalize AI solutions from proof of concept to production.
- Support the development of AI strategy roadmap and executive briefings to scale AI capabilities across DES programs.
- Mentor and educate developers in AI best practices and modern software development methodologies.
- Manage multiple projects and changing priorities ensuring timely delivery of AI solutions.
