Job Summary

Job Title: Hospital Supervisor
Location: Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC) Shiprock New Mexico
Start Date: May 2026
Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extendable) Shift & Schedule

Shift: Night Shift
Hours: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
Schedule: Approximately 7 shifts in a two-week period (around 14 shifts per month)

Accepted schedule pattern:

5 days on / 2 days off followed by 2 days on / 5 days off (OR) 7 days on and 7 days off

Additional scheduling notes:

Staff typically work the same shift for the entire week
Scheduling is managed by the facility
Requested Time Off (RTO) is accepted with 90 days advance notice preferred

Credentialing & Onboarding: 6 8 weeks onboarding process from site approval License Requirement

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from any U.S. state

Required Certifications

BLS Basic Life Support
ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Experience Required

Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
Prior Hospital Supervisor experience required
Experience in case management care coordination or hospital operations oversight
Experience working in acute care or hospital settings

Key Responsibilities Hospital Operations & Supervision

Serve as Hospital Supervisor during assigned shifts providing oversight of hospital operations.
Support staff during call-ins or staffing issues and coordinate coverage when necessary.
Maintain communication with hospital leadership and escalate operational issues when required.

Patient Care Coordination

Coordinate patient placement across hospital departments including:
- Medical-Surgical
- Pediatrics
- Other clinical units as required
Facilitate communication between nursing staff physicians and departments regarding patient care needs.
Monitor patient flow and ensure efficient admissions transfers and discharges.

Case Management Functions

Coordinate patient transfers between facilities when needed.
Arrange out-of-hospital transportation for patients when appropriate.
Ensure accurate documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Operational Support

Serve as a central contact for operational concerns during shifts.
Coordinate support with hospital departments including Facilities Bio-Medical Laboratory Radiology IT and other support teams.
Address technical or operational issues by coordinating with appropriate departments.

Additional Requirements

Must provide personal scrubs (any color no logos or labels)
Must successfully pass all background checks
Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with high levels of coordination and responsibility
