Role Description

The Associate Attorney will be a key contributor to Gray Pannells growing public finance and economic development practice joining one of Georgias most respected boutique law firms. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside accomplished partners who are recognized leaders in municipal finance economic development and business law-advising cities counties authorities and private companies on complex financing transactions that fund critical infrastructure and drive community growth across the state.

The Associate will play an active role in all stages of public finance and bond transactions including due diligence document preparation disclosure review and coordination among issuers underwriters and other financing team members. The position requires strong analytical and drafting skills attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters in a collaborative fast-paced environment where precision and professionalism are essential.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of legal experience in public finance economic development municipal law real estate commercial transactions or related transactional practice areas with a strong interest in building a long-term career in these fields. They will demonstrate excellent legal judgment attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will be collaborative client-focused and eager to contribute to projects that directly impact Georgias communities.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Strong foundation in transactional law preferably with experience in public finance real estate or commercial transactions.
  • Ability to review draft and analyze complex legal documents with precision and efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the capacity to balance multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present legal issues clearly and effectively to clients and team members.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of clients business matters and transactions with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Attentive to detail versatile proactive and intellectually curious with strong research and analytical skills.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Education and Certification Requirements: An undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Law are required. The successful candidate must hold an active license to practice in the State of Georgia or be eligible to sit for the Georgia Bar or pursue admission by reciprocity.
