Job Summary
Job Title: QA Automation Engineer (UFT API Testing Jira SQL 10Yrs Exp)
Location: Austin TX - (Hybrid - Local candidates Only)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Qualifications:
Experience in Quality Assurance including test planning test case development and test execution.
Design develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for enterprise applications.
Create and execute comprehensive test plans test scenarios and test cases aligned with business and technical requirements.
Perform both manual and automated testing across development test and UAT environments.
Prepare User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders and ensure alignment with business requirements.
Track test case execution progress and provide testing status reports to project stakeholders.
Log categorize prioritize and track defects using Jira ensuring clear documentation and lifecycle management of issues.
Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure full coverage between requirements and test cases.
Work closely with Agile Scrum teams to support sprint-based software delivery with a strong focus on quality.
Utilize Xray Test Case Management tool for test case design execution tracking and reporting.
Perform API testing and automation using Postman SOAPUI JMeter or similar tools.
Develop and execute automated tests validating authentication user permissions and role-based access control.
Write and execute SQL queries (Create Read Update Delete) to validate backend data and support testing activities.
Conduct multiple types of testing including unit testing integration testing regression testing smoke testing system testing user acceptance testing stress testing and performance testing.
Implement QA automation scripting using UFT (Unified Functional Testing).
Support development teams in development testing and UAT environments assisting with troubleshooting and defect resolution.
Utilize code coverage tools systems analysis and design documentation to ensure adequate testing coverage.
Perform accessibility testing using assistive technologies and tools to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
Maintain detailed documentation for automated processes and testing procedures.
Communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with developers analysts and business users to ensure effective testing strategies and defect resolution.
Manage multiple testing tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Accurately track time spent on testing activities and provide estimates for testing efforts related to enhancements or changes.
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within Agile teams.
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts is preferred.
Experience using Jira and SharePoint for project collaboration and documentation.
Self-motivated team player with the ability to drive quality initiatives and help teams meet project milestones.
