Senior Structural Engineer (10-15+ years)

The ideal candidate is a licensed Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience. This individual will have solid experience in the design of steel concrete masonry and wood buildings both in new and existing construction. We are looking for an individual with experience managing and mentoring teams of engineers and designers to exceed their clients expectations and ensure successful on-time and on-budget projects.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Expected Base Salary: $120000.00 to $160000.00 depending on education experience and licensure.
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
• Competitive end-of-year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
• Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).
• 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching with 9% Employee Contribution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform project management duties and oversee structural analysis design and detailing on a variety of projects.
• Collaborate with the architect owner and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings.
• Lead and manage a team of engineers designers and drafters to execute structural designs.
• Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design.
• Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications.
• Manage profitability of projects and maintain a working relationship with clients.

Qualifications :

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Experience with structural computer analysis software systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
• Experience with the latest release of Autodesk Revit design tools.
• Ability to build and maintain a strong team of professionals and support staff within a cooperative multidiscipline office performing at a high level of satisfaction to clients.
• Possess strong critical thinking organizational and analytical abilities.
• Excellent leadership supervisory and writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Comfortable consulting to architectural practices.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Masters degree in structural engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with the structural design of buildings or similar structures.
• Licensed California Civil (PE) required.
• Licensed California Structural Engineer (SE) preferred.

Expected Salary Range: $120000.00 - $160000.00.
