Job Summary

Job Title: CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Franklin MA 02038 Charlton MA 01507

Shift: Regular Hours

Role Summary

Maintain troubleshoot and repair CNC electro-mechanical systems and machine sub-systems. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and defects.

Key Responsibilities

Preventive & corrective maintenance on CNC shop equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical electrical PLC servo hydraulic and pneumatic systems to component level
Maintain and repair: 5-axis mills mill-turns CNC lathes EDM Laser-Swiss motion control systems
Use real-time machine data (servo load vibration temperature acoustics) for predictive maintenance
Root cause analysis and documentation in maintenance systems
Work with engineering on complex equipment failures
TPM support and light repairs
Tank cleanout and basic facility support
Follow FDA QSR ISO 13485 ISO 9001 ISO 14001 compliance

Must-Have Requirements

5 years CNC machine maintenance in manufacturing
Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical mechanical PLC & servo systems
Read schematics ladder logic electrical/mechanical drawings
Ability to program and operate CNC machines to validate repairs
Experience with Fanuc Mitsubishi Heidenhain Mazatrol controllers
Experience with Mazak KERN Tsugami EuroTech Rofin Fanuc EDM Maier Citizen machines
Ballbar testing & analysis (2 years preferred)
Proficient in MS Office & maintenance documentation
Forklift and power tool operation
Strong root cause analysis & preventive maintenance focus
Physical & Availability Requirements
Lift up to 50 lbs climb ladders work in confined spaces
Onsite support for off-hours/weekend emergencies
Frequent driving for company work
Overtime as required

Education

High school diploma or GED (Associate degree in Advanced Manufacturing preferred)
