Job Description
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting plant operations to ensure equipment is performing to standards. This role will include troubleshooting occurrences of production equipment downtime testing updated equipment modifying existing schematics/ design records and suggesting improvements to processes where applicable.
Skill Requirement:
Support service and trouble shoot production equipment test equipment and electrical systems within the manufacturing facilities ecco system.
Develop test equipment specifications ensuring compliance with electrical safe work practices and OSHA requirements. Identify potential safety hazards and provides input into the remediation process ensuring equipment functionality meets required specifications.
Enforce safety expectations document and communicate hazards and unsafe conditions to ensure a zero-incident culture and product conformance to electrical safety and quality standards.
Work with production maintenance teams and operators manufacturing engineering quality product design engineering suppliers and customers as needed.
Performs root cause and failure analysis. Applies critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide specified cost quality and performance in a safe and efficient manner.
Leverages advanced technology and innovation to improve the use and effectiveness of information systems for testing/controls.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Computers/Math/Science from an accredited institution or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting with troubleshooting equipment background.
Experience in software such as Visual Basic/Studio SQL and other Microsoft applications.
Experience with Rockwell Software (RS and Factory Talk) RSLogix 5 RSLogix 500 RSLogix 5000 Studio 5000 FactoryTalk View ME FactoryTalk SE VB6
NI LabVIEW and NI Test Stand
Experience with PLC HMI programming and safety systems design.
Fundamental knowledge of electrical equipment at component and integrated system levels.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and trouble shoot electrical control protection instrumentation and metering schematics and wiring diagrams
Ability to interpret suggest and resolve equipment or installation issues with multiple and varied electrical contractors.
Experience in electrical testing procedures and protocols.
Can update electrical schematics to current engineering change requests and future engineering change requests.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years trouble shooting equipment in a manufacturing setting.
Demonstrated ability to interpret regulation and standards and implementing Electrical Safe Work practices such NFPA 70E.
Experience supporting Engineered to Order (ETO) manufacturing plant.
Demonstrated ability to work with little direction and effectively operate in a team-oriented environment.
