As a Security Officer - Driver Perimeter Patrol in Chicago IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher-education location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas perform routine rounds remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and support students staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an education location.
• Respond to alarms calls for service and critical incidents in a calm problem-solving manner and coordinate with campus partners and/or public responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings residence hall exteriors common areas parking areas and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor flow verifying identification when required and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
• Complete detailed incident reports daily activity logs and shift handoffs; document suspicious activity policy violations and maintenance concerns and escalate issues through the chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
• Be 21 years of age.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
