Registered Nurse (RN) Medical/Surgical Telemetry
Location: Hyannis MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) Every Other Weekend Rotating Holidays
Travel Compensation: $2630.50 per week
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit for a 13-week contract assignment. The RN will deliver high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing processassessment planning implementation and evaluationwhile maintaining professional standards and ensuring a safe patient-centered environment.
This role requires strong clinical judgment effective communication and the ability to care for patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process and maintain accurate timely documentation.
Perform detailed patient assessments including physical psychological and social components and support discharge planning.
Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and care plans.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.
Provide guidance and serve as a resource for staff education and orientation.
Demonstrate proficiency with electronic medical records and nursing informatics systems.
Adhere to infection control safety and blood/body fluid protocols.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional nursing standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams prior to start
Recent Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting (within the last 2 years)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience managing cardiac patients
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
