This is a FT Night Position POSITION PURPOSE To coordinate and implement an individualized plan of care for each patient using the nursing process practicing within their scope standards policies values and mission of the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Supervisory-Specific Performance Expectations Duties and Responsibilities: N/A Position-Specific Performance Expectations Duties and Responsibilities: Plans implements and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Requires prioritization and critical thinking skills decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Complies with triage treatment evaluation and documentation guidelines. Uses evidence-based practices and competence to collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality outcomes and coordinate patient care including patient transfer discharge referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Identifies barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial literacy financial and cultural considerations. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstance. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires. Practice according to professional and ethical standards as noted in the ANA Code of Ethics and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships and engage in patient and family teaching as appropriate Performs other duties as assigned. Establishes and maintains effective verbal and written communication fostering positive working relationships with patients staff and vendors. Exhibits initiative and self-motivation; maintains a consistent level of productivity and manages time and responsibilities effectively. Completes all required annual education training in-services and licensure/certification updates; actively participates in departmental and organizational meetings or reviews meeting minutes as required. Maintains strict patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work punctually and completes assigned duties within established timeframes. Actively contributes to departmental and organization-wide performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements maintaining adherence to departmental hospital state and federal standards and policies. Follows all infection control safety and risk management procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients the public and staff. QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving with a valid driver s license). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must successfully pass a background check. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable). Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment. EDUCATION LICENSURE(S) AND CERTIFICATION(s) Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license. Required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire). Required Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or be obtained within six (6) months of hire). Required Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire). Required Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire). Required Current STABLE certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire). Required Current Neonatal Resusitation Program (NRP) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire). Required Bachelor s degree or higher in Nursing Healthcare Administration Business Administration or related field. Preferred EXPERIENCE Two (2) years hospital nursing experience.
