Job description

Our Mission & Purpose

In a world where geopolitical tensions and security threats are accelerating the way nations protect people and preserve peace is being redefined. For a long time innovating in defense was about making tougher hardware. But with the evolution of software and the recent AI disruption the future of defense is shifting to software-powered unmanned systems that save lives by removing humans from the front line. This is our mission.

At Intelic were building the intelligence layer for unmanned systems in defense. As a software-first company we enable autonomous platforms to operate together - faster smarter and more reliably - across complex mission-critical environments. Our technology turns disconnected assets into coordinated forces helping operators make accurate decisions when it matters most.

Based in Amsterdam and growing fast Intelic offers a rare opportunity to work on products that dont just move metrics - they meaningfully impact safety resilience and the future of Europes security.

Why this role exists

Our mission autonomy software needs to work where conditions are hardest: off-cloud in disconnected environments operated by non-technical people under pressure. Someone needs to ownhowthis software gets deployed installed updated and improved in the field. And make sure we continuously learn from real-world usage while doing it.

That someone gets a rare combination: deep technical product work direct contact with operators in the field and the autonomy to shape how a critical part of our product evolves. If youve been waiting for a role where you own real outcomes in a space that actually matters - this is it.

What youll do

  • Own product outcomesfor deployment installation packaging updates and usage data feedback loops in constrained and sometimes disconnected environments.

  • Go deep on hard problems:reliable local installation resilient update mechanisms and graceful recovery even when connectivity is limited or entirely absent.

  • Partner closely with engineering and designin a product trio to deliver resilient user-friendly solutions. You prioritize clarity reliability and graceful failure because operators in the field cant afford anything less.

  • Define compliant anonymized product analyticsthat capture meaningful usage data and provide real insight into how the product performs in the field even when reporting back is delayed or intermittent.

  • Work with our Operations department and speak to operators directly. Youll run continuous discovery - interviews prototype tests field observations - because decisions here are grounded in evidence not assumptions.

  • Build and evolve a roadmapthat connects company vision with what operators actually need and keep stakeholders aligned along the way.

Youll thrive here if you

  • Care more about impact than job titles. You want to build something that matters not optimize your LinkedIn profile.

  • Are energized by ambiguity. You dont need a playbook - youd rather write one. Early-stage product work in a startup means the path isnt always clear and that excites you.

  • Have a genuine technical curiosity. You understand (or are hungry to understand) software deployment architectures packaging update strategies and DevOps concepts. You can hold your own in technical discussions about how software gets shipped and kept running in the field.

  • Have product management experience in complex or technical domains- enough to know how to run discovery shape solutions with engineers and ship outcomes (not just features). Were not counting years; were looking at the quality of what youve done and how you think.

  • Have a bias to action. When given incomplete evidence and information youd rather take action and see what happens then overanalyze or wait for completeness.

  • Naturally champion quality and reliability.Trading off quality to speed is not the right question for you. You dont compromise on quality to be fast. You are able to play with scope while keeping the level of quality.

  • Communicate with clarity and conviction. You can explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders defend your priorities and bring people along.

  • Are drawn to the mission.Defense technology European security keeping people safe - this isnt just a job to you. You want your work to mean something beyond the next sprint.
