Salary: 14.80 per hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at a busy GP surgery in Lichfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing blood collection duties working collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care. This role is full-time requiring five days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venepuncture on patients of all ages following best practice guidelines.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the blood collection process.
- Label and handle blood samples according to protocols for accurate identification.
- Manage stock levels of phlebotomy supplies and ensure a clean safe and organized work environment.
- Record procedures in patient records and maintain confidentiality.
- Assist other clinical staff as needed and support with general administrative tasks if required.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Certification in Phlebotomy with demonstrable experience in a healthcare setting preferably a GP surgery or similar.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach toward patients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility and a proactive attitude toward daily responsibilities.
