The hourly rate for this role is 12.98 and up to 14.36 across selected locations within London.
Are you passionate about customer care and delivering the best Pharmacy services We are looking for a relief phlebotomist to travel up to 2 hours to different stores across the region and join our healthcare teams in playing a key role to deliver Phlebotomy services to our local communities you will also provide support on the healthcare counter assisting customers with their needs when phlebotomy is not required.
About the Opportunity
As a Boots Relief Phlebotomist you will be based at our Leicester Fosse Park store but will regularly travel to our Nottingham Victoria Centre Birmingham High Street and Cambridge Newmarket Street stores to provide support for our healthcare services with more locations due to be added in the future.
Youll work across several stores delivering a range of pharmacy services including taking venous blood samples. Youll manage appointments welcome patients and provide compassionate patient centred care. Building strong relationships and offering holistic support will be a key part of every conversation. Working in multiple locations means youll connect with different teams and experience varied addition to phlebotomy when phlebotomy cover isnt required (which will vary week to week) youll support the healthcare counter ensuring customers receive excellent service throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing the appointment diary to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Greet patients and ensure all pre-consultation paperwork is completed.
Conduct venous blood sampling in accordance with UK guidelines maintaining the integrity of samples.
Prepare samples for collection and escalate any missed collections to ensure timely laboratory processing.
Collaborate with the store leadership team and pharmacy staff to ensure safe service provision.
Maintain adequate stock of consumables and ensure consultation spaces meet required standards.
Provide support on the healthcare counter assisting customers with their needs when phlebotomy is not required this can sometimes be up to 4 days a week.
Complete healthcare training to enhance your skills and knowledge in pharmacy services.
What Youll Need
A minimum of 12 months phlebotomy experience.
Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.
A full valid UK driving licence and access to a car for travel between stores.
Punctuality and readiness to adapt to changing work locations.
Empathy and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
A passion for customer care and a commitment to healthcare excellence.
