SUMMARY:

As assigned incumbents provide and support the foundational content and materials for courses/classes and provide constructive feedback by overseeing and implementing materials. Monitors the impact of mentoring and coaching; and facilitating district and school initiatives on student achievement in order to promote excellence in teaching and learning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provides professional development to teachers in support of best practices in planning instruction and assessment; demonstrate knowledge of curriculum as a form of professional development for staff and administrators; reviews and analyzes data from assessments to support teachers in making decisions based on data; plans and implements strategies to meet development needs.
  • Provides instructional support by collaborating with teachers on standards scope and sequence and common finals summative and formative assessments.
  • Facilitates development of curriculum assessments resource recommendations and trainings to address and support students needs.
  • Provides coaching to teachers on development of existing learning platforms and curriculum.
  • Participates in the planning and delivery of New Teacher Orientation
  • Supports school site Continuous Improvement Plans as well as developing and supporting implementation and evaluation of new and existing teacher support programs.
  • Facilitates district committee meetings.
  • Establishes and maintains good rapport with students employees community members and vendors.
  • Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree and four (4) years of experience in teaching or training.
  • Experience in curriculum and professional development design and implementation preferred.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Arizona teaching certificate.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).

  • Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers supervisors the general public and others to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Positions in this class typically require: stooping crouching reaching standing walking fingering grasping feeling talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time the job is rated for Light work.

Working Conditions:

Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom environment.
