Job Summary
Accounting Specialist
Location - Prospect Heights IL 5 days a week onsite flexible on start time
Salary / hourly - full time role direct hire paying hourly paying around $25 - $30/hr w2 or $55K - $60K a year depending on experience
Must be able to get to Prospect Heights IL in a timely manner.
Join a well establish company looking for this person to assume primary responsibility for the month-end financial close provide comprehensive support across core accounting and financial management functions. - Bank reconcillations - month end
- A/P duties
- Some inventory counts at month end
- Billing responsibilities with orders could be about 3 hrs a day
- QuickBooks is a nice to have
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Timely invoicing our customers on a daily basis and follow-up with respective departments for resolution.
- Collection of past due customer accounts
- Processing of customer payments
- Administer the timely issuance of customer billing statements
- Code accounts payable transactions in
- Manage vendor payments on external websites
- Perform additional responsibilities special assignments and ad hoc analyses as required by management
Requirements
- Associates degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible accounting experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with accounting and payroll software applications ( Bill).
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational time-management and multi-tasking capabilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across multiple levels of the organization.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities on-site Monday through Friday without exception.
