Job Summary

The Jackson R-2 School District is seeking a skilled and dependableDiesel Technicianto join our Transportation Department. This position is responsible for the inspection maintenance and repair of district school buses and support vehicles to ensure safe and reliable transportation for students. The Diesel Technician will perform preventative maintenance diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs in accordance with district state and federal safety standards.

Minimum age of 21

High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of Gas and Diesel engines and general Maintenance

Two years work experience as a mechanic in coventional anddiesel vehicles

Must be willing to obtain a class B CDL license and become a Registered Vehicle Inspector for the state of Missouri
