Job Summary:
We are looking for a Product Owner who will primarily focus on Federal client-specific projects working closely with government stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact compliant and mission-critical solutions.
In this role you will be responsible for organizing prioritizing and assessing the work of one Scrum team while ensuring alignment with Federal client requirements regulatory standards and contractual commitments. You will serve as the key bridge between Federal stakeholders subject matter experts and development teams.
Reports to: Manager of Product Owners
Location: Fort Wayne IN
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside clients subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to gather and analyze business and system use cases functional and non-functional requirements.
- Participate in design sessions lead by UX team to ensure that the solutions meet business needs.
- Define epics user stories flow charts system requirements and business rules to assist in the development of software.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with client goals compliance standards and contractual obligations.
- Plan and coordinate releases internally between dependent products or sevices and externally to align with contractual obligations.
- Lead and facilitate training sessions for client end-users to ensure successful product adoption and effective system utilization.
- Lead PI (Program Increment) planning sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions to transform features into stories.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint stand-ups sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Understand and be aware of Juvare information security policies and standards.
- Document the final as-built configuration following completion of implementation as well as demo end-to-end solutions to clients for acceptance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from accredited university or college preferred or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years recent experience as a Business Analyst Product Owner or similar role.
- Experience working on client-specific software implementation projects preferably within Federal or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Possess Active Public Trust Security Clearance or be able to pass a PTSC background check
Skills/ Knowledge Requirements:
Required:
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex software workflow platforms and collaborate with technical personnel.
- Strong ability to translate complex business policy or regulatory requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating collaboration and adaptability
- Ability to prioritize organize plan and manage team work releases and all other project activities
- Familiarity with project management and/or software development tools (e.g. JIRA Rally MS Project Confluence)
- A passion for technology curiosity to learn new skills/technology with a fail-fast approach
Preferred:
- US Federal and/or Military domain knowledge
- Ability and willingness to travel 5% (average over course of a year)
