Contract: Part-time permanent contract (0.8 FTE - 30 hours per week)
Salary: 24720.00 0.8 FTE pro rata (30900 full-time equivalent)
We are looking for a qualified journalist (degree or NCTJ) to produce high-quality copy for our public-facing Optimum Nutrition newsletter bi-annual booklet and website. As well as to create engaging content for our digital media streams and marketing activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently-qualified journalist or experienced professional to develop their skills across a range of media outputs. The successful applicant will have a keen interest in health and nutrition and the ability to switch from writing an in-depth feature to producing a promotional pieces.
You will come with:
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet agreed deadlines
- A sense of fun with a strong professional ethic and the ability to get things done
- Ability to create content including in-depth features interviews and news for our monthly Optimum Nutrition newsletter as well as for marketing campaigns website and social media
- Ability to accurately proof and sub content on-screen
- Ability to read/understand research papers with understanding of research methods
- Organisational skills
- Excellent individual and group communication skills
- Initiative and the ability to work as part of a team and to lead on projects when required
- Knowledge of InDesign Dreamweaver Audition and Premier Pro desirable
