Job Summary
Group and Team: Economic Development Group Parking Operations Team
Location:Council Centre
Employment status: Permanent Full-time (5 roles) and Permanent Part-time (1 role)
Classification: Municipal Officer Level 1
Agreement: Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2024
Salary range: $62713 per annum ($31.74 per hour for Permanent Part-time) 13.5% superannuation.
About the role
Role accountabilities include:
- Conduct patrols and issue parking infringements in accordance with relevant legislation and Council bylaws.
- Monitor and report faults damaged or missing signage and other parkingrelated assets.
- Provide customer service and general information to the community while representing Council professionally.

About you
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.
- Capacity to learn and apply relevant legislation to issue accurate infringement notices.
- Ability to stay composed and professional when dealing with conflict or challenging situations.
- Comfortable working independently outdoors and walking long distances across varied terrain.
Qualifications needed for the role:
- Completion of year 10 or a Certificate Qualification in a relevant area (Customer Services BusinessAdministration) with an ability to undertake and complete the Certificate III in Local Government Regulatory Services.
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
- Current Driver Licence.
Desirable qualifications:
- Current Motorcycle Licence.
