Job Summary
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Ensure that front end loader is maintained according to set standards.
- Identify any unexpected problems that could require higher level technical support to and advise supervisor.
- Report to Dispatch and/or Pit Foreman when task complete.
- Accompany Pit Foreman when inspecting completed task.
- Ensure that regular inspections are carried out on the front end loader to ensure operating worthiness.
- Apply recognised work and safety standards when executing tasks.
- Operate front end loader according to task standards.
- Move front end loader according to heavy duty driving regulations.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on plant.
- Compile an accurate shift report.
- Follow work instructions and orders.
- Ensure proper understanding of the required actions and orders.
- Apply recognised work driving and safety standards.
- Ensure that tasks are completed to required quality standards.
- Participate in weekly safety meetings.
- Report any safety related grievances or issues to the safety rep or Dispatch / Pit Foreman.
- Follow work instructions to set standards and procedures.
- Identify safety related problems to the Dispatch / Pit Foreman.
- Identify actions that could prevent and improve safety and work performance.
- Ensure that any allocated support works together as a team while completing tasks.
- Promote safety awareness by reminding team members to follow work procedures and identifying unsafe work practices.
- Communicate process problems to necessary people.
- Support operational team members if and when they require help.
- Help engineering employees to maintain equipment.
- Conduct effective two-way communications with team members.
This role is at a band 9 Level reporting to the Load and Haul Foreman.
Qualifications :
- Grade 12
- Front End Loader Certificate

Experience Knowledge and Skills
- 1 years experience operating Front End Loader
- Medical certificate of fitness
