The Warehouse Logistics Technician provides warehouse and logistics support in a NASA site environment. This position is responsible for the receipt inspection tracking storage staging and distribution of materials equipment and components in support of program operations. The role ensures material accountability inventory accuracy and compliance with NASA safety and contractual requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive inspect and verify incoming materials equipment and fabricated components.
- Match deliveries to purchase orders packing slips and shipping documentation.
- Enter and maintain accurate inventory records in designated tracking systems.
- Organize and store materials in accordance with warehouse best practices and NASA safety requirements.
- Stage materials for internal distribution to technical staff and program personnel.
- Prepare outgoing shipments including packaging labeling and documentation.
- Coordinate with procurement engineering fabrication and program staff to ensure timely material support.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain property accountability in accordance with company and customer policies.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g. pallet jacks forklifts) as authorized and certified.
- Adhere to all NASA site access safety and security requirements.
Work Environment
- NASA warehouse laboratory and fabrication support environment.
- May require standing for extended periods.
- Use of material handling equipment in accordance with safety certification and site requirements.
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience in warehouse operations logistics or material handling.
- Experience using inventory management or material tracking systems.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs in accordance with NASA site safety guidelines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required NASA site credentials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting government or aerospace programs.
- Familiarity with property accountability procedures.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience coordinating with procurement and technical teams in a program environment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of warehouse safety standards and material handling best practices.
